In Their Words
“NSBE not only gave me a safe space and a community of new friends but also a place to develop my professional skills and enhance my portfolio. NSBE events are a great place to relieve school stress and being an exec taught me how to adapt to a corporate like structure.”
Muyi OmorogbeQueen's NSBE Alumni
“In first year, I had a student mentor and they helped to support me academically by helping me with my hard courses and also teaching me about the culture of Queen's. Also, throughout the other years I met lots of students who looked like me in engineering.”
Savannah GrayCurrent Queen's NSBE General Member
“NSBE made school feel a lot less isolating. It was good to have people I could relate to and talk with outside of just classes. It gave me a space where I felt supported and could just be myself, and that really helped me through.”

Mentorship
Our mentorship program connects Black engineering students with upper-year students and graduates who understand their journey. Through guidance, support, and shared experiences, we help members navigate academic challenges, career opportunities, and personal growth.
Mentorship at NSBE is about building lasting connections that inspire confidence, success, and a commitment to giving back.
